Responsibilities
In the position of a line cook, one must ensure that food is consistently prepared to a high standard, adhere to safety and cleanliness regulations, arrange equipment, and verify inventory supplies.
Following recipes and plate presentation requirements when preparing menu items.
Carries out all specified preparatory work.
Follows the station blueprint to set up the work area effectively.
Always maintains a clean and safe environment while dealing with food.
Cleanses and disinfects the work area at the start, throughout, and at the conclusion of the shift.
Accomplishes designated cleaning assignments regularly, both daily and weekly.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Being capable of articulating thoughts clearly and showing focused listening to team members, managers, and cooks is important.
2. Reading and writing skills are crucial for enabling effective interaction and completing necessary paperwork and reviewing checklists.
3. Adequate finger and hand coordination are necessary when utilizing tiny instruments, culinary appliances, and keen blades.
4. The ability to display synchronization and steadiness is crucial when swiftly moving around a potentially risky area.
5. The individual needs to be able to maintain standing and perform tasks with steady mobility for up to 8 hours continuously.
6. Vulnerable to wet surfaces, extreme heat or cold, and loud disturbances.
7. Capability to bend, crouch, raise, and transport dishes, food cases, containers filled with water, food items, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds continually and routinely is required.
8. Essential to have the physical ability to stand for extended periods and move around unrestrictedly in the kitchen.
To qualify for this position, individuals must be of at least 18 years of age.
Employment Options: Full-time or Part-time Positions
Compensation is set at $10.00 to $18.00 every hour
